Solvang

Solvang (Danish for "sunny field") is a city located about 55 km north of Santa Barbara. Solvang was founded in 1911 by a group of Danes who traveled west to establish a Danish community far from the midwestern winters. The architecture
of many of the facades and buildings reflects traditional Danish style.

We spent several hours in Solvang on May 23, 2014 and then drove to Santa Barbara.
