Riva del Garda

Trieste is located towards the end of a narrow strip of Italian territory lying between the Adriatic Sea and Slovenia, which lies approximately 10–15 km east
of the city. Croatia is about 30 km to the south. Trieste belonged to the Habsburg Monarchy from 1382 until 1918. It was acquired by Italy in 1918 as the result
of World War I.

Riva del Garda is a town in the northern Italian province of Trento and is located at the northern tip
of Lake Garda.
