These pages present photos of the lanterns we found in Ottawa in August 2003.

Ottawa was founded in 1826 and became Canada's Capital in 1857. The city is located in Eastern Ontario on the south bank of Ottawa River.

To make going through photos manageable, the set is divided into two areas:
- "Parliament Hill" for lanterns found on government buildings.
- "Ottawa Streets" for the rest of lanterns.

We are sure that exploring any place we might have missed some lanterns, due to very limited time we usually had. Sometimes we see it even checking locations with Google Street View. We use this application a lot to find out, if possible, conditions or existence of a lantern we photographed some years ago. A lantern's caption is marked with (?) if we could not confirm its status. If there is no note, it means that the lantern exists and has not changed.
