This page present photos of the lanterns we found
in London (Ontario) on March 24, 2005.
London is a city in Southwestern Ontario, on banks of the Thames River, halfway between Toronto and Windsor (approximately 200 km west of Toronto).
London and Thames River were named by John Graves Simcoe in 1793, because he had intended London to be the capital of Upper Canada. Village was founded in 1826 and incorporated as a city in 1855.

The following photos present lanterns we found on
buildings of Western University
on March 24, 2005.
Western University was founded in 1878 and
incorporated Huron College (Founded in 1863).
It is located in the North part of London, Ontario on
the banks of North Thames River.
