Lake Placid

Lake Placid is a village in the Adirondack Mountains, New York State. Village was founded in the early 19th century to develop an iron ore mining operation. It was incorporated as a village Lake Placid in 1900. It is located about 225 km north of Albany, the Capital of NY state.

We visited Lake Placid on May 18-19, 2007 on our way home from Boston.
