Toronto:
Forest Hill

Forrest Hill South (or just Forrest Hill) is located around Spadina Rd with borders:
- Eglington Avenue W on the north,
- St. Clair Avenue W on the south,
- Bathurst St on the west and Avenue Rd on the east.

Forest Hill South was mostly developed by 1930s. During last 20-30 years many houses were renovated and rebuilt, some demolished and replaced with a new style 'neo-classical' homes. Unlike many other Toronto neighbourhoods, all houses are detached with a lot of huge mansions. Similar areas are Bridal Path and Rosedale.

We toured the area the first time in October 2001 with ROM Walks. However, all photos on this page were taken in 2019 during several strolls through the Forest Hill streets. Actual dates photos were taken are in the photo captions.

To make seeing the photos easier, we divided the set in three areas indicated in the Navigation Bar. Forest Hill East (West) denotes area East (West) of Spadina Road. The following streets (in alphabetical order) are allocated to these areas:
FOREST HILL EAST:
Browside Avenue; Dunvegan Road; Frybrook Road; Hillholm Road; Kilbarry Road; Lonsdale Road east of Spadina Rd; Russell Hill Road; Warren Road.
FOREST HILL WEST:
Ardmore Road; Burton Road; Chadwick Avenue; Dewbourne Avenue; Glenayr Road; Heath Street W; Lonsdale Road west Of Spadina; Lonsmount Drive; Millbank Avenue; Relmar Gardens: Richview Avenue; Ridgewood Road; Rosemary Lane; Rosemary Road; Silverwood Avenue; Tichester Road; Vesta Drive.
